Electronic Dog Collar Training
We just spent over a thousand dollars on a fence for our new dog. Everything was fine for awhile?
now she has found a way underneath it and is constantly escaping it and I find her in my neighbors yard. She will not come when you call her. She runs the other way. Will an electronic collar (training, not fencing) help with this? Any suggestions?
She has seen our cats crawl under and folows them she gets out while chasing them, birds, squirrels,or any other small animal that runs by. She isn’t bored, we play with her all the time. And the commands she listens to inside, outside with all these distractions is another story. And to the crybaby weenies (Moochie, moocher what ever your name is) that’s real cute by the way, There is nothing mean about a training collar. There are many settings on hte collar and you would have to have it set pretty high to inflict pain on a dog. So quit worrying and whining about it. Go think of a better screen name and quit wasting my time.
We have a fence shocked(made for dogs, but you can find them in the livestock section or pet shops) It is a pain to set up, but it works. The shocking wireruns around the bottom and the top of our fence. Our dogs can’t climb the fence or dig under. It works well, and the dogs believe the fence shocks them, not a collor. It may be an option for you.
BTW, If my kids were in danger from being run over or shot by my neighbors you bet your *** I’d put a shock collor on them! As it is the fence shocker we have has gotten them a couple times(me too). I feel a shock is a little less sever than the “training methods” my dogs would be subjected to otherwise.
